  • Enable institutions to offer investors and clients a unified portfolio of digital assets on Corda and other platforms

LONDON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–
Owneraprovider of an open-source based global inter-trading network EndP2P protocol, and R3, the global enterprise technology company, are partnering to enable Ownera to deliver a unified digital wallet solution for institutions. The solution will unlock global distribution and liquidity for the digital asset market across all asset classes, including private securities, and any underlying ledger – private or public.

The digital securities industry can benefit from this interchangeability between different scanning solutions, which are held and settled on different networks. With an increasing number of digitized sources of assets, these need to be brought together and enable critical global distribution and liquidity between markets. This has the potential to promote further institutional adoption and global distribution of high quality assets.

The FinP2P routing network solves this problem by orchestrating the instant exchange of digital assets held on any blockchain platform, for digital cash held on any ledger. It supports primary issuance, secondary trading, and instant DeFi-style borrowing against pledged assets. Institutions that have deployed R3s Corda The platform will also be able to use the solution to manage both assets held on Corda and tokenized assets elsewhere. The solution can work with the customer’s preferred third-party or in-house digital custody solution.

Todd McDonald, co-founder of R3 said: “At R3, our goal is to create and develop reliable, secure and open networks. We believe users should have the freedom to connect and interact with each other across multiple networks and markets. We are excited to see interoperability work emerging across the R3 ecosystem, such as orchestration and “inter-exchangeability” of digital assets on Corda and other ledgers offered through Ownera’s FinP2P.

“Institutions have faced the challenge of deploying multiple blockchain technologies if they want to reach different isolated asset pools,” adds Anthony Woolley, Business Development Manager at Ownera. “The adoption of FinP2P will result in greater liquidity and better access to capital and assets by providing regulated companies with a secure connection point to multiple digital asset networks around the world. In turn, the wallet that we have developed will enable these companies to offer their clients a user-friendly interface to access investment opportunities across the FinP2P ecosystem. We believe that enabling the distribution of high-quality assets to a global audience of suitable investors is key to driving institutional engagement in the digital asset space.
