High precision digital pressure gauges for heavy industrial applications

TT Electronics has launched a new series of high precision digital pressure gauges. Building on its expertise in pressure sensors, the DPG Series is the company’s first line of pressure gauges using digital technology. The series is optimized for heavy industrial applications, incorporating industrial machinery, heat treatment and water management, providing accuracy within +/- 0.5% of the compensated range.

“The high-precision DPG series offers customers a turnkey digital output pressure device that can also be fully customized with its USB interface and dedicated software,” said Andy Roberts, Sales Manager, TT Electronics. “It’s a smart sensing solution with user-customizable options and powerful data logging features as standard.”

The series includes a digital loop (DPG-L) or battery powered (DPG-B) pressure gauge developed for use with gas or liquid up to 100 bar. Gauge or absolute pressure formats are offered, with pressure displayed in Bar, PSI or the user’s own units on a six-digit LCD display. User-customizable display modes allow advanced one- or two-line message outputs that can be triggered by events sensed by the unit. In addition to messages, the user can select an alert event that occurs when the pressure falls within a defined band. Along with messaging and alerts, a changeover relay can be used to provide switching at user-defined points, control alarms and other process actions.

The series gauges also provide built-in data logging via an integrated USB interface, logging process details of up to 5000 time-stamped data points using the device’s real-time clock. Five-point calibration can be applied using the series’ USBSpeedLink software, allowing for straight-line profiles and a wide range of custom curves and corrections.
