The systems of 10 banks including Barclays, Halifax, Lloyds, Nationwide and Monzo crashed on Wednesday morning, preventing thousands of customers from accessing their accounts.
Customers have reported issues with the inaccessibility of several online banking services to DownDetector, a website that tracks website outages in the UK and the rest of the world.
Bank customers have reported issues with money transfers, online banking, and mobile banking apps.

online mirror reports that some households were unable to buy food or pay their bills due to the outage which was first reported around 6am.
Customers have taken to social media to report issues with their online banking services.
A Barclays customer said: “Hi, I transferred money to my husband’s Barclays account to pay some bills and also paid my credit card bill but none are showing up on my account .”

A NatWest customer said: “Are there any issues with the app? I transferred money at 7am to run errands and it still hasn’t arrived in my account .”
In response to the technical issues, a Santander spokesperson said: “We encountered an issue with our faster payments this morning which is now resolved and payments are being processed.
“We again apologize to all of our customers who were impacted this morning. Customers awaiting payment that has yet to be received should contact the sender in the first place.”
