Brought by the Foothill Farmers' Market Association. Enjoy certified farm-fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers and more.

Market can be found in the Kings Beach State Recreation area parking lot along the beach. 9:00am - 1:00pm every Tuesday through September 1.

Thursday Evenings - July 2 through August 13 - Kings Beach Music on the Beach Concert Series

Bring your beach chairs and your dancing feet to the Kings Beach State Recreation Area for free concerts on the beach, sponsored by the North Tahoe Business Association. Seven weeks of Thursday evening music begin July 2, 6:30 - 8:30pm.

The 2009 concert schedule includes:

July 2, Blues Monsters - presented by Reliable Services; The Blues Monsters have been taking center stage for over 10 years. A red-hot rockin blues band from the North Lake Tahoe and Reno area, The Blues Monsters were voted the #1 blues band in NLT for 7 years running. 

July 9, Jelly Bread - presented by North Tahoe PUD; Jelly Bread is funky, but not too tart. They've got soul, but it's not going to break your heart. With meaningful real and sometimes painful lyrics blending lush vocal harmonies and funk filled rootsy grooves, Jelly Bread is giving the music scene a breath of fresh air with its signature sound

July 16, Momentum - presented by Eco Print & Imaging; For over two years, Momentum has been jamming in the Tahoe/Truckee area, and brings an eclectic blend of jazz, funk, rock, and blues to the concert series. This four member band from the Lake Tahoe region includes two guitars, bass and drums to inspire their wide contrast in sounds ranging from slow ballads to fast-paced soul altering compositions. 

July 23, Loose Canon - presented by Jason's Beachside Grille; Featuring former members of Hot Buttered Rum, Mad Cow String Band, No Bad Barley and the Rusty Strings, Loose Canon delves into unique interpretations of covers spanning five decades as well as a smattering of original songs all done up with acoustic guitar, banjo, mandolin, bobro, upright bass and percussion. 

July 30Downbeat - presented by Taneva Auto Parts and The Char-Pit; Downbeat came together in 2008 to bring a much-needed dose of funky,booty shakin soul-jazz to the Tahoe Truckee music scene. Downbeat blends together local musicians to create flat-out funky grooves inspired by the the soulful sounds of late 60's and 70's jazz greats.

August 6, Drinking with Clowns - presented by Evans Real Estate; Drinking with Clowns is a band with a unique blend of Latin sound and funky rhythms that will send you grooving into the ecstasy of dance. Their music ignites a sense of freedom unparalleled to any other musical experience.

August 13, Izabella - presented by the Tahoe Biltmore; Izabella is a dance inspired rock and soul band hailing from the Bay Area. Izabella's live perfomances exude joy and inspiration for all in attendance. Their unique blend of fist pumping guitar, funked out keys, poly-rhythmic beats and impassioned vocals is unparalleled in the genre.

 Friday, July 3 - Kings Beach Fireworks Celebration and Viewing Party

The Kings Beach July 3rd Fireworks show is a North Lake Tahoe tradition sponsored by the North Tahoe Business Association and supporting patrons and businesses. One of the biggest events of the summer in Kings Beach, the fireworks show draws over 10,000 visitors and local residents to the Kings Beach State Recreation area. This great event offers an additional day of celebration for the July 4th Holiday.

Tickets are available now for the Deck Viewing Party at the North Tahoe Event Center and the NTBA office (located in the Event Center) between 9:00am and 6:00pm. Enjoy live music from local favorite Momentum, dancing and front row viewing when the fireworks go off at dusk! Tickets are $10 for adults in advance ($12 at the door that evening) and $5 for children 12 and under. There will be a no-host bar, non-alcoholic beverages and a variety of food options available for purchase for all attendees. Enjoy the show and the party! Deck party is from 6:30 - 10:00pm. and on Saturday July 4th, don't miss the Pancake Breakfast at the North Tahoe Event Center. Enjoy pancakes on the deck while supporting community organizations - the Boys & Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe and the North Tahoe Fire Protection District. 8:00am - 10:30pm, adults $7.00, kids under 12 $3.00.

Saturday, Sunday, July 25 & 26 - 14th Annual Fine Art and Sculpture on the Shore

Come meet celebrated artists during the Fine Art and Sculpture on the Shore event brought by Pacific Fine Arts Festivals. This free highly anticipated art event will feature more than 40 acclaimed artists showcasing their work including an outstanding array of two-dimensional art, watercolor and oil paintings, glasswork, sculptures, photography, collages and more. 10:00am to 5:00pm each day in the Plaza area of the Kings Beach State Recreation area.
